Black Lassic
Took my first trip to Black Lassic mountain in the Six Rivers National Forest. It was in early December of 2017 and the first snow had already fallen. It was eerily still and cold, with the sun near setting by the time I arrived. It was seriously beautiful and quiet, feeling as if there wasn’t anybody else with in 20 miles. I drove about looking for good photo shots and collected interesting rocks I happened upon. The dirt forest service roads were creaked and cracked with iced over puddles and ruts. It was a good trip but the cold and ice reminded me of why I don’t want to live in the cold again!
